Tasks:
- Support development of Optics System architecture (ADD) including system partitioning, key-component selection, manufacturing process proposal
- In a multifunctional team, support Optics System development activities, including inter-skill arbitration for optimized technical tradeoffs
- Perform and analyze optical measurements of displays
- Technical Interface to critical suppliers to support and track resolution of their technical issues (critical supplier can be display, bonding material, cover glass suppliers)
- When necessary, support customer technical design review presentation
- Support definition of test strategy & protocol
Conditions:
- Project development experience similar to customer Portfolio
- Capable in system engineering, technical analysis, problem solving
- Experience of integrating displays and optical systems into mechanical environments
- Understanding of optical system design & metrology
- Optical and mechanical parts manufacturing
- Integration of optical systems into mechanical environment
- Optical materials & techniques including optical bonding, optical surface Treatments, thin film physics, material science
- Expertise in glass material and manufacturing process is a strong plus
- Good understanding of adjacent disciplines (Mechanical, Displays, Manufacturing, Electrical, Software)
- Open minded, willing and able to work in global environment (multisite, multicultural)
- Fluent business German and English
